Friends of Wisconsin Midwives
Friends of Wisconsin Midwives is a grassroots organization
dedicated to supporting the Midwive's Model of Care and the practice
of midwifery in Wisconsin.
Our focus is on providing education to the public, organizing the
community to support midwives from all routes of entry, and working
together with midwives to to assure the continued availability of
midwifery care in the state of Wisconsin. Our general goals
include:
- building a statewide database of midwifery supporters
- informing our network of supporters on current events surrounding midwifery in Wisconsin
- educating the citizens of Wisconsin about the midwifery model of care
- generally supporting,
protecting, and furthering midwifery in Wisconsin

If you would like to be more involved in the leadership of the FOWM, please contact us as well. We could use help with a number of various activities, including fund-raising, database and mailing list management, and completion of our non-profit status.
